Second coming by Kerong Second coming by Kerong
Danimo. This is the first piece I've ever done straight on the computer. Usually I start with a sketch in one of my infamous sketchbooks and scan it and color it. But I wanted to start doing speed paintings and thought of doing the little man. This is exaclty 1 hour.

Drawing is way more important than color jusin. light and shadow is the secret to "real" look. Case in point, black and white photo. If you add just basic flat color to it you will be tricked into thinking it's real. That's Rockwell's claim to fame. He mainly focuses on the value and then the color is secondary.

Thanks for the props btw

Just goes to show the power of color theory. You don't need to have a strong drawing underneith it, and it looks so real, cause of the colors. Nice son, nice.
